What is a JOEY?

Joey Scouts is the first section of scouts, for boys and girls aged between 6 and 8 years.

The emphasis of Joeys is on fun, friendship and a gentle introduction into a world of challenges and adventures through Scouting.

There are lots of fun activities that entertain and teach basic motor, craft skills, whilst encouraging communication and co-operation. Joeys is a unique and exciting way for children to learn about the environment, the community and their world while having fun.

The meetings can consist of: Craft, Games, Team Activities, Parent Participation Nights.

Joeys are normally held at the Hazelbrook Scout Hall, 70 Railway Pde Hazelbrook, but some activities such as bush walks are held elsewhere.

Hazelbrook has a team of Joey leaders and meetings are held on Monday evenings at 5:30 pm and run for an hour.

New members are invited to join at the beginning of each school term.
