1st Hazelbrook Scouts News

We need a female adult willing to go on outdoors activities - is there anyone out there please who might be interested in participating in any of those planned in 2008? If so please contact us.

Scouts - the blank dates still need ideas! These are an excellent chance to get experience; requirements for levels and badgework completed for those who wish. You are also welcome to add your own ideas - new ones are especially welcome if people are keen to do them!

We will be asking for an indication at the end of January who will be attending which activities in term 1 (they need 4 scouts & 2 leaders to be viable!)

2008 Term 1 Activities

• Dunns swamp - family weekend - 15-17 Feb - contact Chips for more info / map etc.
• Founders/Scout Hall open day - 23 Feb - Scouts required to be available in the morning for construction displays (can be counted for badge work)
• Otford to Bundeena hike - 1-2 Mar - for those who have done an overnight hike previously - permission note due 7 Feb
• District Water Fun day - 9 Mar - scouts with canoe qualifications requested to assist at Wentworth Falls lake - details to come
• Shoalhaven canoe trip - 14-16 Mar - for those with canoe qualifications (limited numbers due to lack of canoes / first in basis) - permission note due 7 Feb
• District Camp/Rally - 28-30 Mar - venue & cost TBC - permission note due 6 Mar
