What is a Scout?Scouts is for boys and girls aged between 11 and 15 years. As a Scout you will receive expert instruction in a wide variety of skills, both indoor and outdoor, together with the all important basic theory to make sure you don't get lost in the bush and you can deal with life's emergencies. The meetings are designed to not only be informative but also fun. The trained leaders are also expecting that Scouts take leadership and be involved in the planning and execution of meetings, bushwalks, camps and other activities. The Scout Leaders facilitate the structured learning program and the opportunity for youth to gain a series of badges and cords that demonstrate their achievements. The highest achievement in Scouts is the Scouting Medallion which is presented by the Governor of NSW at Government House in Sydney. Scouts meet at Hazelbrook Scout Hall, 70 Railway Parade Hazelbrook on Thursday nights from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The program also includes weekend camps, hikes and day activities. We have 4 Leaders: Chips, Cranks, Brushy and Daz. Interested? Please contact us. New members are invited to join at the beginning of each school term. |
