Welcome to the 1st Hazelbrook Scout Group
Scouting is a fun learning environment for young people. Scouts can get involved in leadership, performing arts, community service, amateur radio operation, environmental projects and large-scale Australian events such as Cuborees and Jamborees. Scouts also learn valuable practical skills such as first aid and cooking.

Today’s Scouts can take part in an extraordinary variety of outdoor activities and learn traditional Scouting skills such as camping and bushcraft, through to more extreme challenges such as abseiling, overnight hiking, rafting, canoeing, canyoning, snow activities, rock climbing, sailing and even flying.
Scouts world wide are bound by a promise with three fundamental parts:
duty to your religious belief,
duty to other people; and
duty to one’s self
Participation in Scouting lays a solid foundation on which our youth can build their future. Scouts Australia encourages youth members to develop skills and attitudes which will stand them in good stead throughout the rest of their lives. Our programs are designed to develop initiative, self reliance, leadership, responsibility, respect and consideration for others.
Group SectionsThe Scout Group is split into sections to offer Scouts activities and a learning environment appropriate to their age group.

Leaders need to be motivated individuals with a commitment to providing varied, exciting and dynamic programs for our Scout Group. Before you are permitted to work with young people you must undergo interviews, and pass reference and police checks.Read more ► | The most worth-while thing is to try to put happiness into the lives of others. Parental Involvement

The most successful Scout Groups are those where there is strong parental support. The more effort volunteers put in the more fun the Scouts will have and the less likely fees have to be raised to cover the costs.
